So, what exactly do you do?

I oversee the logistical elements of hosting a wedding and break up the planning into phases helping to make it manageable and less overwhelming for the couple. I get to know the client, do a ton of research, suggest suppliers and meet with those suppliers, draw up contracts carefully, handle all negotiations and make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.

How much does it typically cost?

What should I look for when hiring a Wedding Planner?

Someone who has the knowledge and organisation skills to help create the most memorable day of your life. You also want your planner to be certified. Personality is really important, you need to click because you’ll be spending a lot of time together.

What’s the one thing a client needs to figure out before they meet with a Wedding Planner?

A realistic budget, so I am able to figure out what’s possible and what may be out of reach.

What do you wish people knew about planners?

I believe ‘Day Of’ Planners don’t exist. Some companies offer this service but I believe for everything to go perfect a planner needs to work with a client for at least 8 weeks prior to the wedding.

When is the best time to hire a Planner?

The answer to this will dictate the urgency in which you want to have your wedding. I recommend you hire your planner sooner rather than later to get the ball rolling

Can I still hire a Planner and be involved in the planning of my wedding?

Of course!! A Wedding Planners best wedding is one with the clients vision, style and personality in mind. This is your wedding! I get even more excited when a client says they want to be involved.

I’m looking to plan my wedding in 6 months time, is it too late to hire a planner?

I love a challenge so the answer to this is no! It’s not as overwhelming as you may think because the planning is organised, all you have to do is show up.

I have a small budget, can I still hire a Wedding Planner?

Certainly, you have to be realistic. You need to be practical, what is most important: the venue, the flowers, the dress etc.
